Posting your article on the OPA website
All OPA members can use the "blog" feature to post their articles on the OPA website.
What's a blog? Blog is short for "web log" (log being a journal of sorts). It's an easy to to post content without having to know much about how websites work.
To post an article:
1. Log into the website. After you've logged in you should see your name or username at the top of the right column.
2. Click on the link below your name entitled "Create content". The list will expand to show you various options.
3. Click on "Write a new article". A page will display for entering your article.
4. Enter the title for your article in the Title field.
5. Blog topics: These are keywords you can use to tag your article. If you're writing an article about using the Mars cycle to explore personal work cycles your keywords could be: Mars, work, Mars in Gemini, etc. You'll see these keywords listed below the title of the article when you view your article on the website. At the very least tag an article as either "astrology" or "business"
6. Body: This is where the article goes. No need to include your name, as that will display automatically after you post the article. You can write directly in this field or paste from a text or Word document.
a. To paste from a Word document: Open your Word document and copy the contents. b. Directly above the Body field you'll see some formatting buttons. There is a button that looks like a small clipboard with a blue W on it. Click that an a small window will open. c. Paste the content of your Word document into this window and click Insert.Once you've entered the Body content scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Preview button. This will show you what your article will look like when it's posted to the site. Ensure the formatting is to your liking and proof read your work. When you're satisfied click the Submit button and your article will be posted to the site!
